California Food Protection Manager Certification
In California, the Department of Public Health’s Food and Drug Branch mandates that all retail food establishments must have a certified food protection manager (CFPM) on staff. Managers or persons in charge must pass an accredited exam every five years to earn and maintain their CFPM credentials.
The CFPM does not need to be present during the establishment’s operating hours. However, a certified food manager may only serve as the designated CFPM for one establishment at a time.
Trust20’s certification program is approved by the California Department of Public Health.
