However, in April 2024, legislation was introduced that would result in a new requirement for this type of training. [Ohio’s Liquor Control Law (Chapter 4301.253)](https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-4301.253) notes that establishments/employers may receive risk and damages mitigation benefits if they require their staff to complete responsible alcohol server training that includes the rules and regulations governing alcohol service, preventing alcohol service to minors, de-escalation tactics, and instructions for creating a safe evacuation plan in an emergency. ## Course Outline 1 Alcohol Laws and Regulations Describes key Ohio laws and regulations for selling and serving alcohol on-premises in your establishment. 2 Forms of Identification Discusses acceptable and unacceptable forms of identification and strategies to prevent underage drinking. 3 Physical Impacts of Alcohol Explains the effects of alcohol on people, recognizing the signs of intoxication, and assessing when to cease alcohol service. 4 Prevention of Customer Intoxication Describes tactics for preventing customers from becoming intoxicated. 5 Safe Alcohol Service Discusses the principles of safe alcohol service and how to apply them. ## Frequently Asked Questions For more answers and step-by-step solutions to common concerns, visit our [Help Center](https://help.trust20.co).
