Is a food protection manager certification required in Arkansas?
Yes, the Arkansas Department of Health mandates that every retail food establishment employ a certified food protection manager. The CFPM plays a crucial role in monitoring food safety protocols across all areas, including food preparation, serving, and storage. The manager does not need to be on-site during all operating hours, but should provide adequate oversight and training to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
